I’m a multi-hyphenate creative, with a career that spans everything from award-winning books, research, and entrepreneurship, to director-level academic work to hospitality to even driving city buses, I live life at the intersection of what’s possible and what’s here.

I’m an optimist who believes in the power of creative work to change the world because I’ve seen it happen: And because I’ve lived the highest highs and lowest lows and love using everything I’ve learned to help other creatives realize their potential.
I’m a multi-award-winning author with agency representation, a business owner (here, and as a culinary and research consultant and as the owner of The Culinary Curiosity School).
I started coaching in 2019 for Scholars & Writers (who I still coach with occasionally because I love them so much!), but I’ve been helping others with writing since my first university teaching assistant gig in 2007. That’s the same year I published my first article: And I’ve been sharing my creative work publicly ever since.
I have a PhD in Library & Information Science, and have been inducted into multiple honors societies and professional guilds for my academic work: But my greatest love is writing for the general public, from food history to cookbooks to oracle decks and beyond.
I’m a fermentation enthusiast, a food historian, culinary educator, community builder, visual artist, and cat lover who plans to retire to the Irish countryside to lead writing and creative retreats and residencies on a farm.
I’m an avid nature lover who stewards 13 acres of old growth forest in Georgia, and I am passionate about sharing my funds, skills, and time with causes I care about, including ecosystems conservation efforts, Queer rights, food justice, and support for underrepresented creatives.
I believe in the power of our thoughts and actions to change the world, and knows that magic is real and exists in our everyday lives.
I live between Atlanta, GA and Cork, Ireland.
