This summer, in addition to helping my fellow writers in their paths, I’m also celebrating my own writing and the release of my newest book!
In honor of Essential Food Preserving, I’ll be on tour this summer, heading to some favorite cities and my home bases. I’d love to see you in person, hear your questions and your current preserving projects, and just get to spend some time connecting.
Here’s where you can find me (click the links for tickets and more info):
June 22: Bold Fork Books, Washington DC.
July 16: Harvard Bookstore, Cambridge MA.
July 17: NYC (details TBD), follow me on Instagram for the announcement if this happens OR email me!
August 4: Atlanta Botanical Garden (includes hands-on workshop plus signed book copy)
August 16: Cork on a Fork, Cork, Ireland (demo and book signing at Triskell Arts Centre stage)
Other upcoming events:
August 23: Cork Heritage Week workshop on Preserving Food, Preserving Food Stories (this is sold out, but please email hello@root-kitchens.com to get on the waitlist in case a spot opens up!)
September 4: Uncial calligraphy workshop at the Medieval Mile in Kilkenny, Ireland.
Cork-based workshops without set dates (yet): hot sauce making, tepache making, and hot water bath canning (I am determined to bring canning more into the public eye in Ireland, even though jars are oh so expensive compared to the US).
I’m also available for your corporate workshops, 1:1 lessons or lesson series, to teach a class to you and a group of friends over a bottle of wine, or whatever else you fancy. Online (more affordable) or in person.
I can even book and lead a multi-day retreat, or set up a private artist’s residency for you.
Email me to arrange!
TBD, but tentatively planned dates this fall include Dublin and Edinburgh. And at least one additional online book talk.
Don’t see your city on the list, but want me to come through?
Please reach out, especially if you or your organization is interested in covering some or all of the travel costs associated with the tour.
I’m also available for online talks to book clubs, professional organizations, etc. And available for podcast + media interviews.
As always, reach out if I can share my love of preserving with you!
Next year, I hope to add some/all of these tour stops: NYC, Philly, Portland, San Francisco, Denver/Boulder, New Orleans, Tallahassee, and Iowa. In Europe, I’d love to do Brussels and Paris and really wherever else I can easily get to from Cork or Dublin. I’m very open to other ideas!
